Focal Point Ministries exists to support the local church in the development of a strong, vibrant, sustainable, Christ-centered ministry to its men, resulting in men ignited, passionate for Jesus and equipped to fulfill the individual mission God has given them.

Buried deep within a man is a God-given, God-ordained desire to succeed in life — to live life passionately, above mediocrity — and to make a difference in his world.

Our primary goal is to bring men to a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ within the context of their own local church. In addition to coaching local churches, we offer men’s ministry development training, material resources, networking and event coordination. FPM disciples men on a one-on-one basis. We meet with men one on one and ‘do life’ with them; teaching them the importance of God’s Word and building lasting relationships with other men of God.

Focal Point Ministries has been serving the local church in Illinois, Iowa, and Wisconsin since 1994. It’s heartbeat is to resource, train, and equip the local church in ministry to and through its men. We believe the Bible is clear that a man’s role is pivotal in the life of his family and in society in general. We also believe that the local church is the most vital connection-point in a man’s life and spiritual growth-walk with Jesus Christ. Within the context of the local church, a man joins in community with other Christ-followers to be trained, equipped, and resourced to be a servant-leader in every area of his life. Having served the local church for more than 25 years, Focal Point Ministries has become a trusted field ministry impacting thousands of men in a three-state region.

Who We Are

Ministry Director of Focal Point Ministries

Roy heads up the FPM ministry team. As an ordained minister of the gospel, Roy regularly engages men all over the Midwest. His trademark transparency puts men at ease and often gives him the opportunity to share the redemptive power of Jesus Christ in almost any setting. Roy and his wife Kim have been married 44 years and reside in Fulton, IL. They have three grown children, two daughters-in-law, one son-in-law and eight granddaughters!

What We Believe

  • We believe that there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4, I Corinthians 8:4, Psalm 90:2, I Timothy 1:17, Matthew 28:19, II Corinthians 13:14).

  • We believe that the Bible is God’s written revelation to man and that it is verbally inspired, authoritative, and without error in the original manuscripts. (II Peter 1:20,21, II Timothy 3:16, Revelation 22:18,19, John 17:17, Matthew 5:17,18)

  • We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, death on the cross to provide for our redemption, bodily resurrection and ascension into heaven, present ministry of intercession for us, and His return to earth in power and glory. (John 1:1, Colossians 2:9, Matthew 1:23, Hebrews 4:15, Acts 2:22,23, I Peter 3:18, I John 1:7, I Corinthians 15:4, Mark 16:19, Hebrews 7:25, Matthew 24:30)

  • We believe in the personality and deity of the Holy Spirit, that He performs the miracle of new birth in an unbeliever and indwells believers, enabling them to live a godly life. (I Corinthians 2:10,11, I Corinthians 12:11, Ephesians 4:30, Acts 5:3,4, Titus 3:5, I Corinthians 6:19, Ephesians 5:18, Galatians 5:16, Galatians 5:22,23)

  • We believe that man was created in the image of God, but because of sin, was alienated from God. That alienation can be removed by accepting through faith alone God’s gift of salvation, which was made possible by Christ’s death.
